Cleaning & detailing
Eco steam cleaning for boats afloat, with no chemicals, on the French shore of Lake Geneva.
100% eco-friendly steam cleaning: hull, deck, stainless steel, teak, interior - without a drop of chemicals in the lake.
The problem
Lake Geneva water is beautiful but very hard: limescale marks hulls, dulls stainless steel and whitens gelcoat. And most conventional cleaning uses detergents - which end up in the lake.
Our answer
Full steam detailing, afloat, right at your berth: high-temperature steam lifts dirt, grease and limescale, disinfects naturally and uses no chemicals at all. Nothing is released into the lake. Your boat gets its shine back - and the lake never knows.

Lake Geneva limescale on hulls and stainless steel
Lake Geneva water is very hard: as it dries, it leaves white marks on the hull, the gelcoat and the stainless steel that build up season after season. High-temperature steam lifts limescale, grease and grime; the anti-limescale treatment of hull and stainless steel, followed by polishing and protecting the gelcoat, brings back the shine. Teak is cleaned, then fed.
Cleaning afloat, right at your berth
No need to move the boat: we come to you with our service boat and self-contained professional equipment on board. You do not need to provide water or power. Hull, deck, superstructure and cockpit, then the inside: saloon, galley, heads, upholstery and padding.
Antifouling and work below the waterline remain the job of our partner boatyards, which we can coordinate.
Why steam is kind to the lake
A standard wash often uses detergent, and the rinse water ends up in the harbour. Steam needs nothing but water, and very little of it compared with a pressure washer: it cleans and disinfects with heat, with no chemicals, and nothing polluting goes into the lake. Mould, bacteria and damp smells in the cabin are dealt with without harming gelcoat, stainless steel, teak, leather or fabrics.
When to book a clean
In spring, before your first sail, a full detailing makes the boat like new for the season. In summer, scheduled visits keep it spotless. Before you arrive or after a sail, a one-off clean saves you spending the weekend on it.
Cleaning combines with our boat watch and concierge services, in every harbour on the French shore.
FAQ
Everything you wanted to ask.
Why steam cleaning rather than a conventional wash?
High-temperature steam lifts grease, limescale and mould and disinfects naturally - without any detergent. No chemicals go into the lake, and surfaces (gelcoat, stainless steel, teak, fabrics, leather) are treated gently.
Is it really eco-friendly?
Yes: no chemicals, very little water compared with a pressure washer, and nothing polluting released into Lake Geneva. A clean boat should not come at the lake’s expense.
Do you work right in the harbour?
Yes, every job is done afloat, at your berth, with our self-contained professional equipment on board our work boat. No water or power needed on your side.
Is steam suitable for the interior?
Absolutely: upholstery, carpets, leather, cabin, heads - steam cleans deep, gets rid of musty smells and sanitises without harming the materials.
How much does boat steam cleaning cost?
Every boat is different: size, condition, surfaces to treat, inside or not. The price is set on a quote after a visit on board, at your berth. The quote is clear and comes with no obligation.
